“Sadie Downing and Ruth Daniels are Glasgow based artists from the North East of England in the final stages of their final year at the Glasgow School of Art.
Sadie is a performance and sculpture-based artist whose practice currently explores her previous relationship to dance and how this has bled into her artistic practice; whilst Ruth is a lense based artist currently using photographic and video works to focus on her love of landscape and child hood dreams of running away with a cowboy.
Juncture in the first exhibition in which the artists have exhibited together and will be the start of a series of shows for the pair. The show highlights the points at which the two artists work meet, both in theme and relation to each other. Having sent their higher art education together, both have seen each other use their practice as a way of exploring elements of self and the relationships that inform this.
Juncture includes a series of video, performance, sculptural and photographic works, alongside the launch of Ruth’s new zine ‘The Cowboy Found Me Here”
